Yes, you get a lot of torque with that as well. I actually saw a Xedos V6 in Lunnun today. Haven't seen a Ford Probe for yonks. Very popular in Scotland apparently.

Mazda/Ford Duratec 2.5 from a Ford Fusion in mine.
Did it last year, no issues, it was from a wrecked 2017 with
only 12K miles on it. Perfect!

Yes it is. Only minor mods, exchanging some parts from the 2.0.
ECU needs a reflash too.

How did you get around the dash warning lights with the Ecu ?

reflash and wiring kit from Datatronics. Expensive.

Last few days have been spent “squeak finding” with some good results.
One was the base of the window frame inside the door, easy fix once the door card was removed. The other was the supercharger, broken bracket. Again easy enough to fix once the charger was removed.
However now I’m getting paranoid and keep thinking I can hear stuff that wasn’t there before.

Grrrr
That moment when you’ve put the dash all back together , stepped back and admired your work. Then , turn the heater blower on to it’s Second setting and the dash lights come on ! Turn it to full power and they turn off.
Blower motor has 3 settings, 1st and 3rd are fine, when it’s in the 2nd position I have dash lights too . Grrrrrrr
Very tempted to just leave it.
It took me ages to put the dash in , don’t really want to take it out again.
6 Nov 2019, 4:57pm
Would it be safe if I just left it ?
Only happens on the 2nd setting.

sounds like a fire risk to me. :(

Today will be dash removal , again, to try and find that damn short , bad earth.
I really hope I find it and it’s an easy fix .

I’ve found it, I’ve found it . Eureka .

Note to self, don’t fit a mk1 heater knob into a mk2 . Yes it fits and it mostly works . But don’t .

nice, well done :thumb:

Very pleased .
Is it too early to start talking about stoneleigh ?
