2018 Summer Gathering

Despite my best intentions, I have not been able to spend enough time getting this event fully organised.

So when I read this ‘next door’ about the last Tribute gathering…

Somewhere around the M25/M1 join (Hemel Hempstead / St.Albans) appears halfway between the two arcs.

A choice of two dates:
#1 - Saturday, 9th June 2018
#2 - Sunday, 10th June 2018

A choice of two options:
A- Meet up mid-morning, go for a group drive out, return for lunch and an afternoon of chat.
B – As above, but stay over, which means it would have to be the Saturday.

A choice of accommodation:
I’ve looked at camping, rooms in pubs, cheap hotels and nice hotels.
But I struggled to find a venue that would cover more than one option.
So if Option B is the most popular, we will have to cross that bridge another day.
But I think to really be KISS, we need to stick with A and just agree a date.

Answers on a postcard please…

Paul L Is the event welcome for junior members with not finished cars to attend? So they can get inspiration to finish there projects and Future wife can see what the finished car looks like:icon_biggrin:

If so we can attened either date in June.

Ooops, It's my sisters fourth time around so it's a bit of a waste of time. :icon_rolleyes:
But, is the first time the whole family has been together since my mum died so I am committed.:ohwell:

Obviously, I didn't realise I'd pick such a popular wedding date!

It would be a big help if people who expressed an interest confirmed one way or the other.

Ohh a meet up! i'll be up for something (not that i'm late to this thread in any way....)

Given that i'm in 2 of the photos you posted (that original Sammio weekend was a laugh even with just a few of us!) , i'd be up for something, but everything going on in work means that i can't commit until nearer the time sadly.

I hate to say it but Swindon does look like a good central point, meaning Castle Coombe might be a good location. Plus i can get there easily without going near the bl**dy M5!

i'll keep an eye on this thread and see what comes of things :)

Last Call.

I know, and fully understand, how hard it is to line up a time and place that is suitable for all.

But this date/location option appears to be one that most people are unable to make.

So, reluctantly, unless there is a last minute increase in numbers I think it will be cancelled.
