That's a difficult question to answer. :icon_rolleyes:

are you after something that resembles a retro English badge or continental influence from the 60's?
5 May 2015, 6:53pm
Jones, I don't know what I want until I see it, if that makes cense  .

I'll look at any thing, so what have you got?
5 May 2015, 7:15pm
That's the sort of thing .
Can anyone "fill it in". :icon_rolleyes:

Not sure how it would look but the outlike of a sammio body over/around/above the word sammio.
Seems to sum what you do. maybe some verical flash lines showing the body dropping fast!

I like this one.

Clean and distinctive.

The black parts could be cut out and the graduated grey blasted but not cut. I think it could be set in an oval too?

Agree that's the best looking one so far imho.

To give it a more Italian feel I'd precede the Sammio script with the words 'Designo di' as in this Pininfarina badge and put the wings above the script -

Three logos in one... Sorted.

How about this, change the type and swap the flag? nice shape, colourful and would look smart.

Just a mock up.

How about something like one of these?

Well as it is absolutely bucketing down outside, I have a few minutes spare.

If you want a single "S" as a logo for a grille, then you might also need another logo with the full name on it.
( Featuring the same "S". )

For example my brake pedal rubber looks like this, although I forgot to take a photo of mine.

The "L" can stand alone, because it is also seen in this logo with the full name.

Which gave me the idea of combining this approach with a classic steering wheel.

Note: Other makes are available. :icon_wink:

To come up with a very rough sketch for something like this.

Obviously, agreeing the overall font and the "S" in particular is the key.
( And there are much better examples of this on this thread already. )

Another option would be something like this.

Where:
- Jaguar is replaced by Sammio
- Supercharged is replaced with Motor Company (although I think this is a bit of a mouthful to be honest).
- Then the big cat's face could be replaced with a big "Sammio" S.

The only thing to watch with the "S" is that is doesn't end up looking like this slightly more famous one.

If you are prepared to drop the "Motor Company" bit from the logo, then a simple logo around the word Sammio would also work.

I thought it was interesting to see the difference just changing the shape around the Riley name made.

Although perhaps this Wolseley badge has too much decoration around the outside.

Either way, you could still take the "S" from the name for a separate badge.

Anyway, the rain has stopped and I need to get to Sainsbury's before it starts again.

Cheers, Paul. :)

Gary, I do like this but it would be difficult to re-produce this in flat steel.
That said it will look good as a paper logo.

Have a look at MBC Badges, maybe they need to be like theBertini badges?

sammio.co.uk

Micky,

As the www.sammio.co.uk has expired, does that mean you are creating an all new sammiomotorcompany.com website?

Or is the work load overflowing and last thing you want is more orders? :juggle:

I suspect the later, but it might be worth having a basic page to direct you to madabout-kitcars.:grouphug:

Hi HM, I can't renew the listing as I don't have the correct password :lock1:

I'm always busy, but it's all my own stuff so a few "orders" would be nice :eusa_whistle:

Having a link to this forum is a must as it's actually the main instruction manual for a Sammio build . :peace:
