This is a read-only archive of the old Madabout Kitcars forum. New posts and replies are no longer possible, but every thread is still here to browse and read.
To Join : Read below and them email me your details : tributeautomotiveoc@gmail.com
It is a very simple club. There is no joining fee and you get nothing for joining other than a membership number. If we need some money we will send an email to all members explaining what we need the money for, how much we want and ask you to paypal gift the money to us (cash, cheques and bank transfers can probably also be dealt with).
The plan is to keep the club simple, un-cliqued, fun and easy. There will be 2-3 TAOC events that will be exclusive to members, associate members, their friends and anyone else we decide might be fun to have there. The rest of the time people will just say which events they are planning on going to so other members can meet up. If other stuff develops then we will play it by ear.
I will be keeping a register of members and the cars. If you want to join then please fill in as many details as possible below. The first row is my details so you have an idea of what is meant. Your details won't be shared with other organisations without your permission.

If you email me your details then you will become a member. If your car is not completed yet don't worry you will be a 'pending member' until it is on the road. If you don't own a Tribute (Chris!?) but still want to join the gang you can still apply as an associate member. Please add a statement saying why you should be included, the more amusing the more likely you are to be accepted
I I know this is a really old thread but I'm hoping you're still following it
are you on the tribute automotive owners group on Facebook as I'm sure you're probably someone already talked to !
if not they're looking at setting up an Owners Club.
we've taken over recently when nubodi retired as tribute sales and after sales people's and it would be really good to meet up with a few people this summer and also maybe get a bit of a database going as to who owns one and who doesn't
I am going to Stoneleigh and will park my red Kobra in the Tribute OC area 49b (not on display of course). I’m there on the Sunday as that looks to be the busier day by previous year reports.
Belle from ClassicCoachWorks will be adding some details on any official presence soon I’m sure as I think there is news on that front.
I will be entering my car in the “worst Kobra that has had too many bits cut off” category. You cannot miss me as I will be sporting a beard I have on loan from uncle Albert in only fools and horses.
We are Tribute automotive UK sales agents and after sales people. We took over last May/June when the chaps at Nubodi retired to France.
We have booked a joint stand at stoneleigh, we look forward to seeing customers new and old. 😊
Belle.

Dear Mr P, looking forward to catching up! I am intending to strap a bbq to back of the ridiculously ugly but cool motorhome.... and hoping even more to get time to eat!
ref the inpressive beard.... I have it on good authority that since his lowly and untimely passing in a Vat of special yellow restaurant kitchen paint ( drowned in as he dived in the back of the 3 wheeler like an angry seagull to avoid the incoming boys in blue) Uncle Albert no longer has any need for the beard..... you're safe😉😊
see you all soon!

Im heading in on the Monday (committed on Sunday elsewhere) and hopefully meeting some of you lot ... and you Belle if we've not met before (we should have by then) ... No idea what I'll be driving...hehe.. but if its a nice day.. perhaps I can park my Scorpion with your lot? or are you going to run me off the pitch and make me find the Camp Grinnall? hehe
their a pretty good bunch by all accounts... I'm sure they will accommodate .
look forward to meeting you!
we are ridiculously excited about stoneleigh. finally gives me a chance to pin us on the map as tributes only sales and after sales guys since nubodi founder emigrated. peopke are still understandably wondering who we are .
now to get the cars ready!( and the naughty badges off my own kalifornia
Still got my convertible SWB which I got from Chris and Dan November 2015. Will be there on Sunday but on the Italian Replica Club stand, which was only across form the Tribute owners stand last year so will look in and say hello. Trev
I'm flying in from Barcelona for this one and staying with a mate in Leicester. Looking forward to seeing the Tribute 250 SWB Coupe and Cobra's in the flesh for the first time
Hi guys.
Really Looking forward to meeting many new faces of stoneleigh
we're just about ready and we will be in exhibition Hall 2 with a red SWB replica
sadly the coupe replicas not ready yet as have been too busy with customer cars but will keep the website updated as and when new cars coming...
we just finished a Cobra in lapis blue and and to 250 Coupe for a customer that was a partial rebuild with full upgraded interior. A real beauty in grigio Mahmoud...
Have a look at website as their going on there tonight...

Ps.. very excited....first exhibition so go gentle on us!
Justin from grass banks who makes the clever electric windows rear screen and other clever modern items
will actually have a coupe on his stand which i believe he will be selling so do go have a look at that if no coupe in owners area.
He's a great guy and very knowledgeable.
Look forward to meeting you all
Thanks for that info, the main reason I am going to Stoneleigh is to look at 250 Coupes so it sounds like the Grassbank one will fit the bill to have a nose around!
perfect.
he's a good guy. we are taking orders for the kits for all variants of tribute products at stoneleigh as we're tributes sales chaps now.
if you decide to buy, or want to know lead times etc you know where we are
Belle & Ian at Classic Coachworks say that they are now looking after the owners Club and I emailed Belle yesterday asking about events.
Anyone know a south central area pub for a Saturday lunch say August 17th / drive perhaps followed by a tea stop later ? The Pelican Inn on the A4 at Froxfield west of Hungerford has two large car parks and a reasonable menu.
Tea at the Silk Mill in Whitchurch [east of Andover] or the Longstock Farm shop cafe North of Stockbridge
