Clive( ikon) is a very talented engineer, and has built lots and lots of kits.
So Between the both of us, we are making more improvments , like internal door hinges , plus nice working bonnet hinges and bonnet catch.
This is just a few improvements , that will help the Miglia spyder customers build
the kit faster, and will takes alot of the stress of the workings out things like panel fitment and makes the whole build more enjoyable kit to build.
You can still fit the the external hinges if you like , but it will give more choices.
So all in all making an even better kit all round.
ok..all sounds interresting . you mind if I call in and see youi sometime to take a lok at your changes?
you keep upgrading the packige and these cars could be worth about 32000 uros !
i think the external hinges are fine but i do like the idea of making some internal ones............also some bonnet hinges aswel. i have done this many times on my cobras i have made.
good luck to everyone

My Vitesse chassis didn't have a number stamped into it, and I inspected every inch of the chassis while I was sandblasting it. Like Mike says, it's all on the little alloy plate on the side of the bulkhead. Having said that, one builder did put up a photo of a number stamped into their chassis, so it'd be worth searching for one, but I wouldn't worry if you can't find it as it probably doesn't exist.
175/80/14's are a good choice - they'll fit with a bit of 'adjustment' to the front bulkhead (delicate application of lateral torque with a lump hammer), they look period correct and are easily and cheaply available as they're standard fit on budget spec VW's, Seats and Skodas. You won't need to lower the suspension so much to achieve 'the look' either, with the positive benefit of some proper ground clearance.

Citroen 2CV door hinges work really well for doors, bonnets and boot lids.
Not only do they work but there cheap as well
I can second the 2CV hinges, when Mick came up for a visit last week he brought me a couple to try and for suicide door hinges they are perfect I think they will bolt straight onto the frame with little or no mods. I bought a complete set of 4 from a guy on Ebay who specialises in breaking them and the P&P was as much as I paid for the hinges!

wow good photos..i can see you have used both options on the tyres ie........174x70x14 and 175x80x14///////you changed to the standard profile?
is it better ride i can see it is in keeping with the period?
