I'd recommend a very laid back seat for any Sammio. The cockpit is quite shallow, even with lowered floor pans, so upright seats leave your head and shoulders sticking up into the wind blast, which spoils both the aerodynamics and your coiffure, assuming you have hair. IMHO, the bigger the difference between measurements 'B' and 'C' the better.
If you take a look at my seats, they're mounted a long way forward but leg room isn't a problem. I'm 179cm with unusually long upper leg bones, but I have to slide the seat forward a couple of notches for the best position.
Anyway, I've got some sanding to do now so good luck finding the right seats.

I can't place lowered floor pans in a 2cv chassis, so I have to find the most lower seat that I can
You say in one of your message that the highest point of your seat is only 440mm but I read 500mm in the DAX documentation. Do you have another model of DAX seat ?
Thanks Viatron ! I will be happy to give the car for the paint at the end of summer. It should be nice isn't it but I will do the best than I can to respect my Schedule.
Phil9, The car will be paint in red nd the weels will be paint aluminium. In fact the french official blue's name is "Bugatti blue".

No those are definitely the ones I've got. A line measured vertically from the floor to the highest point of the seat is 440mm, but if you measure at an angle from the rear of the seat base to the top it's 500mm.
Then the work began at 14:00 Friday to finish at 18:30. During 4:30 we finally not advanced much given the number of times to achieve ... First I had to remove the body and the metal frame from the chassis.
The first job was the modification of the 2 rear fixing lugs for fixing the frame to the 2cv's chassis but the space between the fittings and the below the top plate of the frame is 25mm fort the front and only 18mm for the back. The kit manufacturer has done the same attachment to the front as the back and so the back was too high / upper plate of the chassis.
The steel frame is made of square section steal tube 20 * 20 * 2 and the fixing lugs was made in steal section 30 * 5. As the platinum fixing was welded under the tube was the right number for the front (20 +5 = 25mm). but it is much too high on the back. Lets go now to modify these fixing lugs !

My second job : replace the rear bar at the good place : 8cm further !

WE have finish the steal part for on the luggage' compartment :
Then we have done the support of the steering column, Not easy to do ! The column is THE starting point for the location of all the controls, the pedals, gearshift lever and handbrake is dependent on the steering column's location.
Column set, the bracket is positioned. For that I had recovered from the donor support sheet of 2CV donor which I cut the sides and the down. I found the tube 40 * 20 * 2.5 which enter with perfection in the U of the support plate and it was quickly decided to cut the two tubes 50 * 30 * 3 angles welded to the frame kit to replace two pieces of tubes but 40 * 20 * 2.5 to allow max out support plate of the deck on the tube, playing "plug welds" and some welds. After initial tests, it was appercu that the brake pedal was too close to the steering column, it has dereferenced points and move the entire 10mm on the right. For this, the reinforcing tube 20 * 20 * 2 has been changed by another 10mm longer.
Great video Sebastien. That's what it's all about, the sheer pleasure of driving something from another era. We'll have to have a European Sammio meet one day...
I am just about to embark on building my frame and am in awe of yours - it's a thing of beauty. Did you produce drawings before starting, or was it "designed" as you went along? Any tips or suggestions?
That was really good, that car really did look like it came from the 50's. I like seeing all the switchgear, and the aluminium panels... And the exhaust!!! Lots of ideas.

The side exit exhaust is the same as the original Lancia D24, and doesn't the 2CV motor sound great with no baffles! Awesome.
