Been following your various threads and very impressed. You may have seen my G46 V8 Mk1 threads on the sammio build page (or whatever it's called this week)
I have radically chopped up a G46 and seeing this artificial on the TVR adaptation I am pleased I am following professional methods chop, cut, pin, stitch, glue etc etc.
My question is once you have finalised a special like the TVR do you then generally offer those panels for sale or is that TVR just a one off.

Thank you for your praise. I have seen your tread and I am equally impressed by your skills and progress.
The TVR/GTO bodywork we are putting together will be the "buck" from which a set of moulds will be taken to give Alex a new shell rather than one made up of so many small pieces bonded together.
The moulds will enable us to create more panels, but we are undecided at this time if we will offer this as a kit of just build to order. Please keep watching
We cut some 15mm ply to shape and placed between the new body and the existing TVR inner arch to secure the two together
The original door pillar and lock plate from the TVR were stood roughly back in place (left) to establish how much needed to be trimmed off before repositioning (right)
Next we sectioned the door skin and constructed a new sill
The rear arches were slightly too bulbous, so we put some relief/pie cuts into the panel and pulled it in on itself, the wheel opening will need to be opened up again.
Front end sections trimmed to make the surfaces sit flush were possible and tech screwed together before GRP tape applied over the joins. This will give a more solid shape over which to fill and shape the final buck for moulding.
Once resin holding tape has cured the bridges and screws can be removed.
The original TVR door hinge/side impact door bars needed to be modified to suit the new small door opening.
The hinge pivot point vs door profile required a "crank" adding to the door bar.
Door inner skin modified and new outer skin hung on door bar.
After a recent visit by Alex, it was agreed that the roof/windscreen weren't right on the car. So we have trail fitted the front half of a Mk3 Capri roof which works well, it still needs the rear of the new section raising, the rack of the windscreen reducing and the top of the roof skin "plumping" up.
Any advances on this build? best proportions ive seen so far!
Behold one of the many reasons I have been too busy to spend much time on the Forum. The car has just gone to the painters for more prep and paint.
The whole project took a massive change of direction when Alex presented us with a 2002 TVR Tuscan to replace the "Wedge" TVR that we had started on, a better (and more expensive) base car with only 22K miles on the clock.
The body now shares only the boot lid with the MX250 kit. A massive amount of work but a great progression to a different look....
New project is lovely however I have to say I fell in love with the project as it started, can I ask did, you just abandon the wedge shaped car or is that available for someone else to take over.

The original car and it's "buck" bodywork is still at the workshop. The bodywork is not actually useable as it was nailed together with glue and sticky tape for the purposes of mould making. We made some splash moulds of the front and rear to produce panels to go onto the Tuscan, so we are part way there....
