Well there a couple of us further down the south east coast as well....i`m fitting 15" wires and looks like I will definately having to mod the bulkhead
I've decided to go for the 15inch MGF minilites I've also bought a set of GAZ height adjustable shocks to get the camber correct I was quite lucky as I found the Factory is located just up the road to me so was able to call in not many of these old style engineering shops around these days, i'm leaving the bulkhead till I have no other option.
Hi, didn't need bulkhead mods on mine with the MGF wheels but put spacers on the rear to give a bit more clearence away from the control arm you do get a bit of rear wheel steer with the Triumph back end I put spacers on the front because I can. Off for MOT tomorrow OMG i'd sooner go to the dentist.. Regards PAT (SKIPPY)
ps. Couldn't find spacers or material to make in any skips!
Hi Pat I might need to go with the spacer option did you find the studs were long enough I bought wolfrace nuts and washers and there seems to be enough thread thinking about it 5mm would be Ok. Good luck with your MOT I find I'm always a bit on edge no matter what I'm takeing in.
Hi I've used 5mm spacers and the stud length was fine with that, don't know what make my nut's are (scuse me) just that they are sleeve nuts with washers, progress has been slow of late not been to well since end of July, I'll feel much better when Skippy is on the road and I've been to Exeter, unpainted at the mo just going to see how she feels and want to change anything before the bright yellow goes on with the BRG viper stripe..Cheers PAT
Hi Pat Nuts sound the same with washers, I can picture your colour scheme should look good takes me back to my younger days when every car wasn't a shade of Black or Grey, Glad to hear your feeling better It's amazing how much effort and thought goes into these builds. Good luck tomorrow
Hi Guys I had a chance to splash some paint about yesterday so here's a pic it all still needs flatting back and probably a few more coats but it's nice to see some colour. Cheers John.
Cheers guys Yes it was painted in Situ I'll have to get my pressure washer out I don't think the wife will be too happy with the blue floor under our carport
I have looked at the Gulf Stickers but hadn't thought of the stripes I'll see how it progresses I've had some cream number plates and numbers made up so will review the look as and when, But thanks for the tip.
