We bought a family tent last year but never ended up using it, so i'd be up for this and i may even get SWMBO to also come in the sensible family car with the tent and the sprogs :)

Have to check with the other half, who's away for a few weeks, but I see no particular reason not to head over to Devon to have a look at some more Spyders, G-46's and maybe a Cordite? :-)

Baz from Brussels

well I'm local so it would be rude not to! If the weather is completely rubbish, I have a coupe of spare rooms if anyone wants to crash!

Started stripping the vitesse down today, so mine should be on the road by May!

Hi, sounds like a great idea especially as it is open to 'lurkers'. I am sure I am not the only one who would love to start building such a beautiful looking car now, however for one or more reasons can't start yet. At the moment this forum is helping keep me sane!!! Keep up the good work guys.

Is he any good with the spanners yet ? you could hire him out for "minor" repairs....

He's very good at jumping in puddles n splashing and getting Gary in trouble with mum.

Hi,
I have just been told about another Campsite nearby where the owner is trying to encourage car meets etc. It has clubhouse , swimming pool , etc. but is smaller than the Sandford one with less facilities.

Question is , do you prefer the bigger commercial style park with our own area or would the more intimate site be more appealing ?

Somewhere with a shed/barn/sheltered parking bit for overnight would be a win! :)

Although if there's not then i'll just have to dig out my tarpaulin.

What we need is a row of perambulator garages

Right , whilst waiting for a customer earlier , I shot across to Sandford as they opened last week for a Scooter Rally...

Basically , we need to book a minimum of 10 pitches to get the Rally Discount.

Price is £16.50 for the pitch including mains hook up , if required. That's per night and includes access to everything on site , crazy golf , indoor and outdoor pools , clubhouse , entertainment , bars etc etc.

If we can't get 10 bookings then its £25 per night.

If we get close to 10 , I will make up the difference to get the Rally rate....

I have provisionally booked a space at the back in a little valley/dip ....it is close to the new shower blocks that are actually pretty civilized and because its set on lower ground , feels a bit exclusive ....it has a road leading into it with pitches on both sides , so its a nice layout.....private but not too far away from everything.

The weekend we have discussed is the last one in June ....maximum daylight and chance of decent weather without getting into the school holiday period.

So thats Saturday 30th / Sunday 1st July...

Anyone is welcome , car or not , builder or not , all weekend , an hour or two whatever.....

An indication of camping numbers would be useful please , so I can start proceedings proper....
