Game On (again!)

You have to make sure the belts come over the seat above the reference point (See the IVA manual to work this out). If there is any chance they could slip then you will get a fail.

The alternative is to use lap/diagonals for IVA and change them later. Not that I would advise you to do that you understand.....

Thanks Chris. I suspected as much. I'll have to have a rethink then...... it's never straightforward is it, this car building lark.

If I where you Alfie, I'd buy the seats you like, and have a turning bar welded into the rollover hoop. It's not an expensive modification to do, and it'll pass IVA no probs (as long as you position it it correctly)

I think mine cost less than £30 all in, for the materials and beer money for the mobile welding bloke.

This is certainly the safest approach should there ever be a more serious incident :)

Planned on doing that already.... I have sorted out a local guy to do it when I'm ready. Will that mean the seats will be ok with the harness? (Sorry if I'm being a bit thick). On the subject of welding, Jason, did you have to put in any extra rear collision protection for fuel tank for IVA? Stuart thinks I may need some.

No, didn't need any protection around the fuel tank - During IVA it was never mentioned.

I'm guessing the seats will be fine, as Patrick's seats have harness holes and a bar, and Robin and I have seats with separate headrests (so no harness holes) & bars and they where fine (on SVA & IVA)

Ok, thanks.
