12 sounds good! Weather is look slightly better on the forecast:

Looks like it may be wise to head home early to mid afternoon to avoid a soaking!

Patrick,
just watched the BBC news. Looks like there is a good chance of you getting a good soaking on either day. :(

Maybe not such a good idea to take the car out without a hood fitted.

We will all have to wait to later in the year to see your pride and joy.

Monday looks like the better of 2 bad days this morning...

I live about 30 miles away and it's awful grey outside!!!

Shame if the weather does stop you coming patrick - I was going to park mine next to yours and see if we could start a trend for unpainted sportsters!!!

Spent the last week painting over rust spots, polishing bits, making the start of a boot lid and fitting the sportster side plates.

You know, all those little things that I'd been putting off until the shows started!!

It's grey here but no rain, the forecast looked rubbish this morning.

Had a potential builder stop by today so taken him and his son out for a drive around. Hopefully see some of you tomorrow.

Shall we say 13:00 at the owners club stand? Even if its rubbish tomorrow I'll still come up in the tin top :)

yep - I'll be there regardless - just hope the weathers good enough for my baby to play!

ok, not quite sure when we'll get there, might be in time for 12 :)

hmmm - raining here!
5 May 2008, 9:32am
I was there a 12 Noon, but didn't see any of you... Not many sportsters there either.

There didn't seem to be many exhibitors there this year - certainly less than '07.

Great afternoons weather after all - great to meet people there.

How was the run back - temperature wise? I guess the ambient was warmer than on the way up.

Robin

PS I hope you managed to get back without any more birds target practising ;-)

We managed to get back with the car staying under 90 degrees but we didn't have as far to go.

Drove to work this morning and it hovered just under 90 - took some advice from someone at stoneleigh and wedged a couple of bits of paper under the rear bonnet edge - just to create a slight exit air gap - on the way home and it didn't pass 85.

so for the next run I've packed out the bonnet sides with spacers to get the same effect there - lets see what happens......

I tried the put some padding under the back of the bonnet to lift it slightly as the fan had turned on while driving the first bit. The further south we went the temp dropped a bit so it was OK from then on. It never when over 90.

Bonnet stayed clean  :)

There were two kids on a bridge who thought it would be funny to try and spit into an open top car. I put my foot down and missed it. Shame you can't stop on the motorway and shout at the little buggers.
