Cheers Phil, always good to see you. Rear spring now sorted and handbrake cable that snapped when I jacked up the back without loosening it replaced with the spare you brought me
Test drive to Halfords to collect new battery for dead Mondeo suggests everything now hunky dory.
Hey Phil, wife saw you and Barry Spydering home on the A10 while she was on her way to work yesterday evening. She was the one in the red Micra flashing and trying to overtake at 110mph. Been anywhere interesting?
Wish I could've joined you but I'd only just got home from work myself when she set off.

I'm off to Cholmondeley pageant of power at the weekend, which has an all things Italian theme this year. It's a 350 mile round trip so I need the Spyder to be running faultlessly...
Have a great day out on Sunday Phil. Wish I could join you but I'm working as fu(£!&g usual.
Should at least get my engine running again today though, looks like the cam wheel was 180 degrees out. Got the valve/piston/distributor sequence in what looks like the right order yesterday but ran out of time and had to go to work before getting it to the point where I could attempt to start it. Cross your fingers for me...
