You are quite right. Although the Bertini rear reminds me more of a modified Z8 the Lyonheart is closer to the E type. I like both of them.
Yes, you're right too, and I agree that the Lyonheart is a much more accomplished design, helped no end of course due to not having the constraints of a z3 as a basis. Regarding Anthony's Bertini I think it's an excellent design from the the back but seriously let down at the front by the excessive humps over the wheel arches (considerably higher than the damn strut towers) and the totally inappropriate headlamps designed for the pretty little FIAT500 which IMHO makes the car an unhappy balance of an angular sports car rear and a curvy front end. If it had a more aggressive front with headlights from perhaps the new Jaguar F Type or new MX5 I'd have bought one by now. Perhaps Chris can design a new front for it
Are you having something built on a Z4? An existing Tribute model or something new?
Its sort of an existing model and also something new and a mix with what i drive now. If that doesnt confuse you then i dont know what will. Stay tuned for 'dannys build thread 3'. The thing i can tell you is that it starts with a Z4 and ends in something awsome....
The Lyonheart K, previously known as the Growler E type is one of my favourite cars. I am sure you could create something similar mixing together several of Tributes kits. (A352, Z3000S, GTO)
It would have to be the hard top coupe , it just looks right and the proportions would be more than ok on a Z3 or 4
Quite like the Alfa Romeo gt junior bertone. The one with the four lights at the front and smaller lights at the back. I was trying to find what an Italian muscle car would look like. Usually with grill parallel with the headlights . No v8 power but its got nice proportions.

The father of a friend of ours has one in long term storage up on blocks in his garage in Devon. It's a lovely looking thing and worth a packet too.
Could work with the windscreen height of the donors as the proportions have quite a low door height . And could make a wide arch version on the z3 bit like the racing version of the alfetta
I wonder what a Maserati a6g outline would look placed over an mx5. Bit like was done on the 250 swb with the yellow line. Scaled down to allow for the mx5 wheelbase. Side view would be easier to work with.
