What is it called?

Possibly a silly question but what's the lighting arrangement at the rear? No reversing light? Where's the fog light go? Only dawned on me when I started looking at lighting kits.

Those Wiesmann's are really nice, interesting how close the styling is to the 250 GTO. The company is in insolvency at the moment, so if anyone wants to buy them....

The white Kobra had one fog light & one reversing light in the two recessed "holes" inside of the indicator & stop/tail lights.



Although looking back at the photos of the blue Kobra it didn't appear to have either, just twin reflectors.

That's a great help, thanks Paul. Surely to pass an MOT I need a fog light though so that's going to take a bit of thought. Don't want to cut extra holes in my car when I'm doing it

You don't need reversing lights for the mot. Fit the fog instead

I used a square fog light (that you normally use on jap imports) mounted under my car on a hinge. I hinged it down for the MOT and now its hinged up so you can see it for the next 12 months!

That's a good idea also! Hadn't got as far as thinking about the front plate so must keep that in mind.

I am now going for a sticker over the nose as the dangly plate stick hit the ground a lot

It's certainly a possibility. Need to track down some dimensions for it to see (or take a sneaky measurement of one when I see one!)

Cobra ones did look the part on the show car at stoneleigh though.

I was wondering what you guys thought would make a good base car? The z3 as you probably know offers a range of leather interiors ie red black brown etc I'm on a tight budget so I was hoping to keep changes on the inside to a minimum and certain colours may go well with certain colour schemes ..... Any thoughts? Also the main bulk of cars in my price range are 1.9L you guys think this would still have enough kick to be enjoyable and could I get it to sound the part on a low budget?? Any info would be great thanks 😃

That link Paul pointed you to is a good source of info.

I test drove a 1.9 (1.8?) 118(ish) BHP version and felt a bit gutless to be honest. Ened up getting a 2.8. Depends what you want from the car really. Is it all about the looks or do you like a bit of 'go' to add to the 'show'! If you could any of the straight size engines it would have a nicer noise. Also if budget is tight there's a 140bhp 1.9 which might be worth a look if you can find one. That guide will tell you all you need about the models.

Interior colours: Black goes with anything. I ended up with Cream but have recoloured the seats black and working on changing some other parts black to leave it less overpowering. This ties me colour wise a bit. Ideally now I'll be using Blue, Green, Orange or black, but greys or silvers in my eyes would not work as well.

I would do anything you can to avoid the 1.9 engine. Even BMW were ashamed of it

Here is the Range Rover Sport side vent against a Kobra side panel. Not much taller than the "original" vent but longer.

I think those Range Rover Sport side vents would look perfect on the Kobra.

Why make some new vents when you can buy these Off the shelf.
