Looks very nice, not the colour that I was expecting but still very nice.

Lots of photos when it is put together. I have been thinking about French Blue for mine. Where I am not planning a replica I want people to wonder what car it is.

If I go for red they think Ferrari, silver is mercedes but French blue is more of a puzzle - an alpine? Something by Gordini?

Hi,

It's the exact color “Ecurie Ecosse” Pantone 300, very close to Blue Alpine

Yes, sorry. I just saw Ecurie Ecosse blue and thought of the Ecurie Ecosse team D-Types in the darker metalic blue.

It does look fantastic, looking forward to seeing it when finished.

The car comes out tomorrow of the cabin ...

Hi there, the car is looking fantastic, and the rate of progress would put most to shame!

Manybe it's my monitor, but it doesn't look anything like Ecurie Ecosse Blue though, that was (is) a dark metalic blue, where as this looks more like French racing blue?

Here is a link to a very detailed thread on the subject of the 'correct' shade and source of EE blue, but I suspect it may be a bit too late for you now on this build. I think it'd look good with an old english white band round the nose like the '55 Le Mans winner (XKD 505)

Pantone 300 is also the official colour of the Scottish flag (St Andrew's cross) so I think it is lovely :target:

One word, stunning (En Frances - sensationnel)

Stunning! I like the added part on the side of the head rest, does that mean that the screen is going to wrap around at full height (not tapered at the drivers side)?

Excellent work Patrice. Can't wait to see you and the car at Stoneleigh. Driving it over or trailering it?
