Just had a call from a customer and he was asking about some of the builds we had done over the years but he particularly liked the Humvee lookalike based on a Land Rover discovery. It took seven weeks along side usual build stuff but was fun. It was shown in 4 separate magazines
Just okay'd a deal with Car Mechanics and Kitcar magazine to build a Z3 250 SWB Koupe as a feature car in 2016. It will cover 8-12 months of issues and will be at the NEC classic car show at the end of the year. This will be great publicity for us, Tribute and the kitcar industry.
It will be of a high standard and incorporate all we have learnt building these cars to date. Unfortunately it will not be for sale as it will be joining my collection (27 vehicles at present).
Hi do you have the paint code for rosso amaranto. Bin wanting to get a sample can but don't know the code. Its found on 70's alfa's I've been told.
Googling found out that the name Amaranto has been used by Alfa Romeo, Ferrari and others. The PPG site is down at the moment for maintenance but the Alfabb forum has a post which states this colour was used on Alfa Montreals in the 70s. It is a maroon colour, details from that site are:

Thanks for that I've got a company nearby that can come up with a can. Is it best sprayed on a sheet of primed metal to see the finished colour along with a few costs of laquer. Any idea of cost to spray this on a car, say the size of an mx5
You should move abroad. If you get flashed in a UK car in spain they dont even bother sending you a letter for a fine, nver mind points. Even if you get cought by a police man, the fine you pay is on the spot and generally what you have on you at the time!
Geoff is coming to collect his car today so I thought I would post some pictures for you all to see. With spots, interior and wire wheels it will get there.
I must say the guys were sort of correct in their approach...
An ordinary Z3, 3 series Beamer or similar have NORMAL engines and can be serviced according to the booklet.
HOWEVER an M rated engine is NOT a standard lump and needs special attention....
I have had similar replies when I bought my first M-powered engine years ago...
They HAVE to record this FOC service since it is crucial for the life of the engine!
Experts all say the car needs to have this service done in order to prevent later problems enginewise.
So, allthought it sounds a bit harsh to leave a car standing for this the guys were right in their opinion
Then there's a lesson here for all..avoid these engines. Buy a 3.0L put a less restrictive exhaust, chip it, cool induction system, remove lots of weight (fit a kit) and then it will have nearly 275 BHP...much more than the Ferrari V12 in the 250 SWB, Rover V8 or a standard 5.7 V8 chevy!!

Smallmead, Reading or Longshot Lane, Bracknell civic amenity sites are probably your nearest weighbridges. No charge unless you need a printed ticket.
I think you will find a coupe weighs more than a standard Z3 with its roll cage and extra body .
I would guess that all other models weigh about the same as the original car.
