Thanks Mike that would be great. I was originally planning to paint mine black anyway. Can't think why now as it seems like hard work when that shiny thing comes straight out of the box! Peter.
If powder is an option without causing hassle or stopping others getting chrome, I will trust your judgement regards quality and go with the powder coat.
Hi mike, the powder coat looks superb, if possible I would take one, but as last man always to speak, I am happy to take any other if it makes your order simpler and if it facilitates any who wanted to change who got their speak in early! Regards jeremy

Please state your first choice, and I will endeavour to see you get it. I have the impression from MBM, that now they know we are serious about ordering 20+ servos they will mix and match in a case of 6, if we need to.
So, anyone in doubt, please state your first choice finish. Currently there are 9 for powder coated finish (including myself). I am happy to stand by the quality of the finish - it is way better than the Metro unit I have - and it was NOS.
Having seen your pictures, my first choice would be for the powder coated version, provided it doesn't up set the perverbial apple cart.................

That's noted. There are over a dozen of us going for the powder coated now, which is good as we will have 2 cases of powder coated, and we can mix the last case with Chrome etc.
Main Order Placed
I have placed the main order for the servos, as per Jason's updated list: I hope for delivery by early next week - assuming no Customs strikes/delays.
(Sorton - I have kept you the option of Zinc or Powder coated, as Andrew Curtis does not mind either).
Out of interest - who still has their car on the road over winter, and therefore would like one of the first despatches?

Still looks like we should hold on to the advised costs - the servos may be a little cheaper on freight, but the adaptors will be a little more as they require the holes to be counter sunk to seat over the slightly proud MBM stud arrangement - it'll all be clear when you get your kit. Still hoping it'll be by Christmas!lane:

Mine's taxed and mot'd... Depending on the weather, it'd be nice to put her Vikki back together and giver her a run before putting her properly to bed for the winter.

Question regards the master cylinder studs, I have what I think is a ford cylinder with the marlin remote reservoir setup, because of this the precise alignment / rotation of the cylinder is not too important (as it is with the reservoir mounted on the cylinder itself).
Are you having some spacers built with the master cyl studs in place or is this not feasable.
Drilling is not a problem for me but I don't have facility to weld stainless. I wondered if the holes were pre drilled, tapped and countersunk, would it be possibe to use counter sunk stainless set screws for the master cyl mount.

I will get a stainless one made for you, as requested.
I was intending to have all the adaptors etch marked with a 70mm circle, as this is the most common MC stud centre dimension. This will make it relatively easy to place the MC on the adaptor, and mark the fixing centres for drilling.
As you suggest, I had assumed anyone could then counter sink from the rear and fit and tighten counter sunk head screws, before fitting the adaptor to the servo.
If you prefer studs welded in to the adaptor, I can arrange this at a reasonable cost. You will have to let me know what angle of rotation you prefer from vertical, and the stud centres.
I intend to get my own made this way to suit my own Ford MC which has the Sierra reservoir mounted on top, so for me rotation is critical. This would probably work fine for a remote set up?
My MC requires the holes to be -70/+110 degrees (left/right) from vertical, and at 70mm centres (same as Metro servo centres) with M8 studs. This places my MC vertical relative to the servo studs which are vertical when installed on the Marlin pedal box.
I decided to stick with my original order of zinc and this is still my preference so I did not say any more. However, if it helps I would also be perfectly happy with powder coated.
As my build is still at stage one I am also happy to be low on the postage priority list.
