250 Authentic Dashboard and Dials

12 Apr 2017, 7:14pm
Hi All

I have just visited Nubodi and seen my dash and working dials for the 1st time it looks superb!! It really is the icing on the cake. I cant thank Richard and the guys enough they have made a fantastic job of it. To all you 250 Builders out there you must put one on your list it transforms the car and I know what it will do, it will make any cars with the option stand out from the norm which will vastly improve re sale values. From my experience also when you are trying to sell a replica if a potential buyer happens to see one of these with the dash and one without its a no brainer re which one will sell 1st. As soon as i collect the car I will post some pics. I think Nubodi could make a good living from putting together the dashboards and dials and selling that package as an option for builders to install themselves or their option of the full fitting service. Until you really see whats goes into the work (I will let them explain their secrets) you wont appreciate all the time and effort however the outcome is one of the best things on the car. If anyone is interested i suggest you contact Richard asap as I am sure once his Number 7 car gets on the stand at Stonleigh the waiting list will be long for such work. K

The dash pics we have seen so far do look pretty good .....It is another nice touch to the cars , did you take any pics at all ?
I expect they will be popular , cars are getting the treatment even before he's advertised them properly , which is very encouraging ..

The no. 7 car , Mineheads and yours ....thats a great start ......

Hi
hopefully i will get some pics done over the weekend seeing it in the flesh it looks even better, really dramatic love the size of the main dials and switch layout. I know Nubodi have already sold two to their Northern agents, one was done before me and they are starting another that's before people really even see the product. If i was building one now it would be the first thing on my list forget paint etc. He is going to be a busy man.

Hi Guys all the gauges work with the exception of the oil pressure not worked that one out but not concerned have the normal oil pressure warning light. All gauges are illuminated I will grab i night picture at some point and post aswell. Like i have said they look far better in the flesh than any pic. If i was doing a 250 again it would be the 1st thing on the list.

Agree fully with all of the above - it absolutely transforms the car.

What's the price for the dash fitting?

I think I read somewhere else that it's €950+vat for the dash and clocks (?)

Does that include the wiring diagram?

Would look very nice with a flocked top and body clouded front.

Dont forget i already had a working dial set before Richards dash conversion so I did not use the BMW standard dials (they had to go one of the 1st jobs) what i do keep hidden is the BMW digital screen cut into the underneath of the dash so you can still read the mileometer service screen etc. Re the wiring etc you would need to speak to Richard I am sure he will assist its his creation.

It looks well designed, well produced and well fitted. One to keep in mind for me. What is the finish? Matt paint onto the fibreglass moulding?
19 Apr 2017, 2:22pm
You can have what finish you want just contact Nubodi crackle, matt what ever.

250 Dash cost options

Hi All for anyone interested I contacted Richard below and have found the various options for the dash please contact Nubodi for any other info.

The dash-kit and 7 clocks/gauges is £950 (No VAT)
The gauges come with wiring instructions and senders where needed
The dash is £350 (no VAT) comes in two halves as some customers want to paint the front panel body colour and leather the top. The two halves can be glassed or sikaflexed together. It comes in plain gelcoat but we can advise on different coatings.
A full dash conversion painted (textured) and working is £2000 (No VAT). Glove box would be extra, but there is a waiting list.
