14 May 2015, 1:24pm
Andy have you had any joy selling your MX250?

Just my input, them AC Schnitzer alloys to me just scream out BMW. I wasnt a fan of them on the tribute demo car but each to their own, what look are you going for with the SWB? will it be badged up Ferr@ri?
14 May 2015, 2:03pm
just took deposit on car full asking happy and sad days, I think the AC Schnitzer wheels look the dogs but as you say each to there own thinking old school rat look but that could change

Good afternoon Andy that Z3 looks like a very good basis , from experience having stripped 2 , Bonnet`s makes very good money assuming in good condition also hood mechanism and front and rear lights , I was able to do a full strip down in a weekend pretty much single handed only time extra pair of hands were reqd was removing the bonnet which is heavy and awkward , all the best Geoff .

Hi the bonnet has just cost him 900quid to have a new one fitted and painted ouch, roof is all electric and looks a minter even the wheels are like new so I should claw back a fair amount.... what would we do without ebay

Don't you remember Exchange and Mart? Worked well in it's day...

I used to scour it's pages every week.

showing your age now still on the go but not like it use to be but then again is anything. full fat full salt full everything never heart me as a kid and from what I can just remember all the other kids seem to be a lot healthier. just need to lose the spare tyre lol
14 May 2015, 5:18pm
Never seen it for years... Try getting a joint of beef with that lovely yellow fat, or proper Jersey milk with cream so thick you couldn't pour it! :icon_biggrin:

Feeling my age right now, my knee is playing up, off to the doctors in a minute to see what it needs. It was 8am Monday I 'phoned and I got the last available appointment for the week! Just hope he can do something cause it's a bit painful kneeling on the garage floor wiring the Marlins lights.
14 May 2015, 5:47pm
good luck with the docs dodgy knees is one thing I can relate to

I had those wheels on my Watched Items whilst on holiday, I knew I should have pressed the Buy It Now button! Glad if was you who beat me to them.

I haven't seen those Wolseley side repeaters available for ages, good find.

Great news about selling your MX. They are making strong money at the moment.

Osteoarthritis is the initial diagnosis, off for an X-ray tomorrow... Mmmmm there doesn't seem to be a cure, just modify my lifestyle it seems.

Hopefully it will respond to mollycoddling for a week or so...

Are they big? do they go on the door or wing?
15 May 2015, 11:23am
till I see them in the flesh you can never tell, but I think on the wing they would look wicked they need to be seen not hid
15 May 2015, 11:30am

Wing mounter mirrors give very poor visibility, door mounted are much better.
15 May 2015, 8:02pm

cars arrived stripping over the weekend then just waiting on a certain man with a kit to rebuild it :fish2:
I have never seen a engine as clean and I have lost count how many cars I have had over the years
