Car owner feedback for Striker
I very much enjoyed building this car and learnt alot as it was my first build. The car was v easy to put together, you don't really need instructions as where the parts go are pretty self explanatory. When i built mine back in 2004/5 (remember things have probably been rectified now) some of the panels didnt fit very well, especially the prop shaft tunnel panels and time has told me that the powder coating on the chassis is rubbish, it looks as if they havent used a decent etch primer, if any! unfortunately with age some of the exposed powder is flaking away. Don't let this put you off, the car looks fantastic with the fly screen, it handles superbly and i'm now ready to upgrade it with a bit more power. Tbh, i would buy another striker if i was buying another budget 7 inspired kit.

To build it is not difficult as there is a full easy to follow insruction manual. the parts all go together well and there is always advice at the end of the phone from Raw. The only downside is some of the quality of the grp bits and the powder coating. As for driving it 'FANTASTIC'

I thought building the car was fairly easy following the instructions and with the aid of Martin or Mel at Raw when i got stuck. My only gripe is the quality of the powder coating which i think isnt very good compared to other kits i have looked at . Would i recomend anyone to buy one? YES Fantastic to drive total fun on wheels!

Straightforward build, no donor used,all new parts inc hd close ratio gearbox and new LSD. Discs all round,minilight wheels and Yoko's.600 series omex 20v Toyota 1600cc. Always enjoy driving, its quick and sticks to the road. Makes me look a better driver than I am when on track days and always leaves me with a grin.

i did mine on a shoe string budget cost less than 5k original mk1 corolla engine now mod twice one up to 20v toyota now r1 yamaha engine .car is fantastic to drive ,easy to build martin and mel from mel good to talk to technical martin is fantastic u the man mate

No major problems building the kit (RAW Engineering supplied kit). The finish is fairly sparse but suits the light weight and basically track biased nature of the Striker. My build cost was probably a little above average due to using throttle bodies, OMEX 700 series ECU, disc brakes all round and a well specified dash (Smiths gauges and complimentary switches).

Excellent finish and very easy to build. Hugely entertaining to drive. Loved the car, wish I had never sold it.
