Excellent car, looks great, and drives like a dream. No major build probs except a broken thumb!
Owner Mickey Harrisson has added that it took 425 hours over 4 months to build at a cost of £3,575.
Have now built and completely rebuilt this kit. Highly recommended. You can get costs lower and build time by keeping the spec simpler. For example adding a roll bar is worth 40 hours. I also refurbed all brakes, ball joints etc. You can use most of the donor - the key piece from elsewhere is the windscreen. I had no prior car knowledge at all - Autotune were always at the end of the phone and were very good at diagnosing problems I had created remotely.
Owner Meir Hakkak has added that it took 400 hours over 6 months to build at a cost of £4,000.
No idea about build hours really! It took a long time, but did incorporate numerous personal modifications. Its never finished. Its now on its 3rd engine, (a 1.8 zetec) and is about to be totally re built to include IRS. Prior engineering knowledge is advisable the kit, though well made, is very basic. But you do end up with a real head turner!
