Car owner feedback for Crusader
I purchased one of these as a finished, but requiring work, car. The build quality of the kit is excellent, equal to almost any I have owned before, and far better than some Lotus and TVR's that I have also experienced! All in a very good car, few things worth noting though: 2+2 seems a bit optimistic to me, will be converting the back with some fitted luggage, a subtle sound install and a fire extinguisher! The handling etc of the car is excellent (ignore comments on classic-kitcar.com, it really is a sports car!) thanks to the engine being mounted so far back its nearly mid mounted but it does make working on the engine a bit of a pig. Will be changing seats again soon but the car definitely doesn't cater for overly tall people with long legs! I am just under 6ft and have the seat almost all the way back with not a lot of room between my head and the roof, new side mounted seats should solve this though...
Owner Aaron French has added that it took 500 hours over 18 months to build at a cost of £4,000.
