Car owner feedback for Legerra
Ground up rebuild of previously 1/2 constucted car. All Dutton chassis seem to have locating bolt holes in different places, making a re-body quite challenging. Fairly easy build if your happy drilling holes, adapting and welding new mounts and having things go pear shaped unexpectedly. Very happy with the car in it's current form, still needs some interior work and all weather ventilation for the cockpit area to be a truly all year car. Needs nicer wheels and finishing this year. 16000 miles covered in 28 months, longest single trip is probably 140 miles each way. Drives very well, very useable car on a day to day basis as long as your under 6 ft.
Owner Adrian Southgate has added that it took 200 hours over 6 months to build at a cost of £1,500.
A very nice kit as with all Duttons they have to be built rather than the modern approach of assembly!! With a few careful builder tweaks can be a reliable practical everyday car. The Dutton Owners club has lots of information for owners.
Owner mark young has added that it took 200 hours over 26 months to build at a cost of £3,500.
