Jim Walker 2020 0 2 300 Built nearly 26 years ago my car has needed very little maintenance attention in over 100,000 miles. Performance with a Triumph 2000 engine is outstanding (16.02 secs. for a standing quarter mile). Recent re-spray has left the car looking like new again. The car is still produced, now to IVA standard as either kit or turnkey by The Gentry Motor Co., Nuneaton. The build cost is 1984 £s and the build time may not be typical because I am a motor engineer by trade.
Paul McAteer 2000 4 0 500 I have recently reaquiered a Herald based Gentry (more on this fantastic story later..) that was first built by my father Eamon McAteer in the early 80s. The car is very complete, fully road legal & runs very well. Sadly the hood & door screens have long since seen better days & I would like to know if any other Gentry enthusiast has a good useable set for sale? Please feel free to contact me via my e.mail address mcateerpaul@hotmail.com even if only for a chat.. Please put the words 'Gentry Kit' into the subject banner so I don't mistake a message for junkmail. Thank you for your time. Paul McAteer. N. Ireland
simon mears 2000 1 0 600 took a lot of imagination and adaptation to acheive a good reproduction. luckily it was before s.v.a.
Wayne Bowman 10000 2 0 1000 The car was not built from scratch by me, but the time reflects the build by the original builder. I gutted the interior, and re-wired, and bought the interior trim nearer to show standard, as the first interior was more functional than attractive. The car is insured for £7500, and has taken many prizes. It's impractical, but few replicas look as authentic as this, enough to fool most MG owners, even those with original TF's! It's unbeatable, fun, simple motoring. I've even driven it without much of a problem in snow, when my main car went into the garage, and that was 2 months of 3hours a day commuting! By the way, the car is still in production, and has recently changed hands.
