Barber (& Tribute) – Looks like you have a developed a great car.

I am sure the fact you are not using door skins with this design will make the build easier.

Actually, given Tribute’s years of experience working with Z3s, I am sure other lessons have been learned that also make assembly easier.

I am really looking forward to seeing the final transformation on this.

Good luck, Paul.

PS
I am sure there are many of you who like this style of car, but don’t visit my build thread.

So, here is a link to some photos I took at Goodwood last year.

The new model looks very nice indeed.

Still unsure whether it will use Z3 hinges as other models or this one is a flip front.

#wondering A Z3gato bonnet and Kobra rear ?

Hmmmmm

There are several mix and match options that could be built. The only one I know of so far is WCA's 250SWB - Z300 although that was a bespoke one off creation I believe !

If you can hang on a bit the convertible Z3gato will be available later in the year.

Does the Z3gato use a Ford grille? would seem a way to avoid any err 'problems'

Mondeo I believe. Back when Ford owned AM and then ‘nicked’ their grills

Default Painted Buck with some bangles stuck on

As promised, here are the pics of the painted buck. Chris starts mould making tomorrow. The grill is a Ford Mondeo, with a nose modelled to suit, so by no stretch of the imagination could this be misrepresenting the Ford range.

For the technically adept, you could try the car in colours other than blue. As you can see the paint finish is good, and the painter did a few additional fixes on the lines, so Chris and i are well happy with the buck. Chris and Dan just have to make it happen "out of the box" now.

I will await the soft top model. Was thinking how I could be ‘first to market’ with a Z3gato

I think you’re right about WCA’s 250 bonnet. Marvellous what C and D can do with a straight line or two and classy glass skills. I have first hand knowledge of this with Kobra bonnet sans bonnet scoop.
