John,

I see what you mean!

I have just measured my old uprights and center of hub to center of caliper mounting holes is 85mm! My new uprights are nearer 100mm!

With regard to cutting lugs and re-welding I'm not sure its possible as the middle of the caliper at the moment is only a few mm from the upright! If this makes sense?

Given the tooling that marlin has I pysically can't understand why they did not just design them to take 260mm rover calipers and 260mm rover discs??

I will know more when I get the bearings and hubs in place! Hopefully tomorrow night

Hi Craig.

How did you get on in the end with the zr 160 calipers etc?

Mine failed the MOT on handbrake (suspecting worn calipers as they only scrapped the SVA). So bought a cheap set of zr 160 calipers to experiment with as the pad contact was not very good with the smaller pads etc on my originals.

Hi john,

Sorry I have just read this! I will reply properly later as I can't remember what I did haha!

I lost the rear clam ages ago and have been so busy with house renovating just left the car! House is finished now so will be looking into cost of a new rear clam soon! Urgh!

Craig
