Paul, I think you need to keep the cover off the car for a few weeks after painting the final coat to give the paint time to harden properly (or do you have a friendly neighbour with a garage that will let you store it for a few weeks), else strip the interior out of the car so it doesn't matter if it gets wet and leave the car open to the elements.
