Just out of idle curiosity, why the Rover V8 rather than an American block?
I can't imagine the weight saving of an alloy block being all that important as the chassis and running gear wont exactly be light weight, will it?
Not that I'm complaining at you keeping it British, of course (we'll ignore the fact the Rover V8's based on a Buick design
